Kaos doesn’t just train you, we keep you training. Pelvico Health Centre operates a full clinic inside the Kaos facility, so when a niggle becomes a tweak, or a tweak becomes an injury, you walk down the hall instead of waiting weeks for an outside referral.
It’s the same model that elite training facilities use worldwide, but rare in Halifax. Four clinical disciplines under one roof with the gym you already train in. Open to members and the public alike: you don’t need to be a Kaos member to book, and Pelvico maintains a full Halifax client base entirely separate from the gym.
Services Offered
Physiotherapy
Orthopedic, sport-specific, and general physiotherapy. Hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, and rehab planning. Pelvic floor physio for all genders.
Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy for muscle recovery, soft-tissue release, chronic tension, and post-training maintenance.
TCM Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture for pain, injury recovery, women’s health, and general wellness.
Postnatal Fitness
Specialized fitness programming for prenatal, postnatal, and postpartum recovery, designed and led by Pelvico’s clinicians.

Conditions Treated

Who Clinical Services Are For
Pelvico at Kaos is a great fit if youโฆ
- Are training hard and want injury-aware support to stay healthy long-term
- Have an acute injury and need fast, specialized assessment
- Are recovering post-surgery and need clinical rehab
- Are pre/postnatal or postpartum and need specialized pelvic floor care
- Want regular massage therapy for recovery between training sessions
- Need pelvic health support (men’s or women’s) from a non-judgemental, inclusive team
- Want everything in one location, with no extra appointments across town
You may need to look elsewhere ifโฆ
- You need emergency or hospital-level care, so call 911 or go to the IWK / QEII
- You need a medical doctor’s diagnosis, since Pelvico is a clinical service provider, not a primary care MD office
- You need specialist procedures (orthopedic surgery, MRI imaging, etc.), which require referral pathways outside Pelvico’s scope
Why On-Site Clinical Care Matters
Most gyms don’t have a clinic on site. When you tweak something at a regular gym, you wait days or weeks for a physio appointment somewhere across town. At Kaos, the clinic is in the building. Four disciplines, five clinicians, one address.
Same-Building Recovery
Train hard, walk down the hall. Same trip, both goals.
Coordinated Care
Your physio talks to your coach when needed (with your consent). Programming adapts to your recovery, not the other way around.
Faster Access
Most appointments within 1 week. Acute injuries often same-day when possible.
One Schedule
Training session + treatment in the same visit. Saves your time and your driving.

What clinical services are offered at Kaos?
The Kaos location of Pelvico Health Centre offers four clinical disciplines: physiotherapy (including orthopedic and pelvic floor), registered massage therapy, TCM acupuncture, and postnatal fitness programming. Five clinicians and fitness instructors work at the Kaos location.
Do I need to be a Kaos member to book?
No. Clinical services are open to everyone in HRM: Kaos members, non-members, and athletes from other gyms. Pelvico maintains a full Halifax client base entirely separate from the Kaos CrossFit membership.
Where exactly is the clinic located?
The Halifax Pelvico clinic operates inside the Kaos CrossFit facility at 114 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 5, Halifax, NS B3S 1B1, Bayers Lake Business Park. Free parking, accessible entrance. Pelvico also has a Bedford location at 36 Duke Street, Suite 3 if that’s closer for you.
Do you offer direct billing to insurance?
Yes. Pelvico direct bills to most major insurance providers including Blue Cross, Manulife, Sun Life, Canada Life, Great-West Life, Industrial Alliance, and more. Bring your insurance details to your first appointment.
Do you direct bill CAF members and veterans?
Yes. Pelvico direct bills both active Canadian Armed Forces members (through Medavie Blue Cross / CAF Spectrum coverage) and veterans (through Veterans Affairs Canada / VAC). For Halifax’s military community, that means clinical care with zero out-of-pocket cost when your treatment is covered. Bring your CAF or VAC ID number to your first appointment and Pelvico’s front desk handles the rest. Kaos CrossFit is veteran-owned, and supporting the military community is something we take seriously.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. In Nova Scotia, physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, and acupuncturists are all primary care practitioners, so you can book directly without a referral. Some extended health benefit plans require a referral for reimbursement; check your plan documents.
What conditions do you treat?
Common conditions include lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain and whiplash, headaches and vertigo, shoulder injuries, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, sports injuries, tendinopathy, sprains and strains, mobility restrictions, post-operative rehab, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, pelvic floor dysfunction (men and women), postpartum recovery, and pre/postnatal pain. The team also handles balance deficits and vestibular loss.
What is pelvic floor physiotherapy?
Pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the bones, joints, muscles, and nerves of the pelvic floor. Physiotherapists use hands-on techniques to stretch, release, and strengthen pelvic floor muscles, often paired with specialized technology like muscle stimulation. Pelvico offers pelvic floor physio for all genders in a welcoming, non-judgemental, inclusive environment. They also have a dedicated men’s pelvic health program.
How do I book a clinical appointment?
Book directly through Pelvico’s online booking at pelvico.janeapp.com (Halifax location at Kaos), or call (902) 332-8534. Most initial appointments are available within 1 week. Same-day appointments may be available for acute injuries.
How does the Kaos and Pelvico partnership work?
Pelvico Health Centre operates its own clinical practice inside the Kaos CrossFit facility (similar to how Cardinal Performance, Primo Weightlifting, and GRND Athletics & Performance run their training businesses at Kaos). It’s the same building, two businesses. Pelvico handles all its own bookings, billing, and clinical care. Kaos coaches and Pelvico clinicians can coordinate on your training and recovery when you consent to it.
Can I get treatment without joining Kaos?
Absolutely. Pelvico serves Halifax broadly, and many of their clients have no connection to Kaos CrossFit at all. The shared facility is a convenience for athletes who train at Kaos, but Pelvico’s primary practice is clinical care for the wider community.
Train Hard. Recover Smart.
Pelvico’s Halifax clinic shares the Kaos building so you can train and recover in the same trip. Four disciplines, five clinicians, direct billing to most insurers. Open to everyone in Halifax: members, non-members, athletes from other gyms.
